Sharing the Planet Artwork by Year 6

Throughout their unit of inquiry into biodiversity, Year 6 students have been researching how artists communicate the key concepts of sustainability and responsibility through visual art. Students researched a variety of 2D and 3D artwork, including digital art and photography to discuss their perspectives, and unpack the artistic techniques used to create these artworks. They explored how artists use materials, slogans, and powerful imagery to communicate meaning. Each Year 6 student was asked to choose a biome or animal of interest to them and create a piece of visual art to communicate either the key concept of responsibility or sustainability. You can view the entire online art gallery by clicking this link. We hope you enjoy the thought-provoking images and creatively presented messages from our Year 6 students.
