About Ms Cecile
Ms Cecile is originally from France, but has taught in the UK and Channel Islands before teaching in international schools in Malaysia. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University Marc Bloch in Strasbourg and a PGCE from the University of Sheffield. She has taught Year 7-9 and IGCSE for more than fifteen years and IBDP for over four years.
Role at Uplands
With the help of a strong team of tutors, her role at Uplands is to help our students embrace all the opportunities they encounter, discover their strengths and cultivate their skills so they are ready for the next stage of their academic adventures.
Wellbeing at Uplands
The wellbeing of our students is the central concern of the pastoral team. Although Year 8 may appear less stressful in terms of transitions, it is essential for us to offer support at this crucial developmental age as students have to navigate changes within themselves, in their friendships and their family relationships, and in their studies. These aspects are all tackled within our Respect programme and on a more informal basis in everyday conversation with tutors.
