In February, over 30 secondary students participated in the Uplands Short Story contest by writing original stories under the FOBISIA 2022 theme of “memories”. The stories were judged by the English teachers over several criteria and winners announced at the beginning of March. On April 6th, as part of Uplands Book Week Celebration, participants were invited to the MPH for a coffee house style reading of their stories. Winners in the Junior and Senior categories collected their awards and prizes and all in attendance got a preview of the Short Story Anthology published on Issuu for our community. The anthology contains all submitted stories and some beautiful visual art from our upper secondary students. Enjoy, and congratulations to all participants for their honoring of the written word!
