What is Peer Mediation?

Mediation is a programme organised by our wonderful School Counselor, Mr Johnston, in which IB student volunteers who have been trained host Mediation sessions for students. This year our mediation team consists of 12 students. Mediation is the process undertaken by a trained mediator to help resolve conflict. Mediators facilitate a meeting between estranged parties to help all parties come up with a fruitful resolution.

Why Peer Mediation?

Peer Mediation provides an impartial safe space for students to try and resolve a conflict they are in. Our Mediators are IB Students, and while they have all had proper training, they are your peers and are here to help. Mediation is not a way for someone to tell you what the right thing to do is, but rather Mediation is a place where our Mediators help you work through the conflict on your own and find a solution that suits you.

How do I get in touch?

Peer Mediators will be assigned to each year group, if you ever need help they are there to be approached and talked to. They can also set up a Mediation for you. If you wish to set up a Mediation yourself, simply write to us using the following email and our mediators will get in contact with you as soon as possible.
